Do I need to see my GP first?

No, you don’t need a referral. We can be your first point of call. If we feel you need to see your GP or another specialist we can refer to the right person.

Is my injury covered by ACC or insurance?

You are covered by ACC if you suffer an injury or accident

No matter what you’re doing when you’re injured – driving, playing sport, at work or at home.  Regardless of how the injury happened, even if it was something you did yourself.  No matter what age you are or whether or not you’re working e.g. if you’re retired, on a benefit or studying.

ACC does not cover

  • conditions related to ageing, eg arthritis
  • most hernias
  • injuries that happen over time, unless an activity at work is causing it
  • unexplained back pain that gets worse over time.

Private Health Insurance.  You may be able to claim for a portion or total amount of the cost of your treatment with your private health insurance provider.  Please contact them to check the details of your policy and how to make a claim.

I already have an ACC number with another provider. Can I still visit you?

Yes we can provide treatment under your existing ACC number.  Please bring your ACC number to your appointment.  If you don’t bring it to your appointment, we can access your claim number and details about your claim, with your information and consent, directly from ACC.

How long are your appointments?

Our initial appointments are 45 minutes long, to allow a thorough consultation.  If you have more than one injury or condition you would like to discuss, you may need an extended consultation.  Please ask our friendly reception team for advice.

Your initial consultation will include a thorough assessment, a tailored treatment plan that includes therapy, a customised exercise plan, and education.   Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your initial consultation to fill out the necessary forms and paperwork.

Follow up consultations are 30 minutes and are booked as necessary.

What do I wear?

To ensure the best assessment and treatment, the injured body site will need to be accessible for therapy. Robes, shorts and towels are available to use, however, patients are encouraged to bring comfortable and appropriate clothes such as shorts and a singlet.

Is parking available?

We have limited parking at the front of both our Kohimarama, Panmure and Saint Johns clinics.  There is also additional street parking in front, and our Panmure Clinic has an additional carpark on Kings Rd.

How do I make an appointment?

You can call, email or book online. If you would like to book online, you will need to create a password first.  Once verfied via email you can login and make an appointment.

You can also call our Reception on 09 5277899

What happens if I am running late?

Please aim to arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment time.  We aim to run on time.  If you are late, your appointment time will be reduced, but the appointment charge won’t be.  Please call to let us know.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy.  Please make sure you reschedule or cancel your appointment outside of this window.  Please call reception on 09 5277899.

Late cancellations and no shows will be charged a fee.   We understand sometimes life can throw a curveball, and we do our best to help at times like this.  Please contact our team for advice.
